American Idol Top 11: ’50s Night

Update! Well, well. Bucky and Lisa were in the bottom three, but KEVIN was the one to go! I thought for sure he had another week in him. Bye Chicken Little. You were annoying but plucky. I’m sure we’ll be seein’ you around.

My first AI rundown!!! I’m a total dork for AI! Go Taylor! Go Chris! Go Katharine! :P

  • Mandisa: Picked a belter song so she could actually sing it. Not really impressed usually, but tonight she was hot. 4.75
  • Bucky: Sounds good, but too karaoke, awkward, doesn’t command the stage. 3.75
  • Paris: Hair sooo cute. More nuanced voice than Mandisa. 4.5
  • Chris: Best song by far. Not the best vocal he’s had, but so original and exciting to watch. “First to refuse to compromise.” Sooo accurate. 4.5
  • Katharine: “Connect with what your saying.” Boy did she. Rowr! She really performed well. 4.75
  • Taylor: He sounded great, but the song only had one word. 4.5
  • Lisa: Another choir song. Did she forget the words??? 3.75
  • Kevin: Cute “I want love” statement should get him some votes. Little out of tune. 3.75
  • Elliot: Best guys voice. Much more interesting than last week. Looked cute. 4.75
  • Kellie: Sounded perfect. Usually don’t like her, but tonight was great! 5
  • Ace: Choir song again. Jazz version better. Boring, not really on tune, ended really good though. 3.75

Overall, I hated that they kept showing the songs beforehand in the interview segments! It totally gave away the mystery in the songs coming up.

Who do I love? Despite the A- performances tonight, I still think Chris, Katharine, Taylor are the best.

Who’s going home? Bucky or Lisa. Thought it would be Bucky hands down, but then Lisa forgot the lyrics…

Next time I’ll actually write the names of the songs.

I’ve never really been able to get into AI, but Chris and I did watch American Inventor last week. At one point I ducked my head into my shirt to hide my face it was too painful to watch. Chris loved every minute of it.

I wanted to watch American Inventor, but I just watch too much dang TV. I have to STOP MAN!!! I actually can’t wait till some of these shows are over so I can have a break.

And Chris, you didn’t have to clean up my post for me, but thanks. I didn’t have time to actually format it. I barely had time to post it. :)

It wasn’t a problem at all. It was really more about seeing how an unordered list looks with WordPress.

As long as you’re posting something, I don’t mind tidying up a bit.
