Long story short, an Oklahoma representative is trying to get all the “gay books” segregated in all libraries state-wide. Soooo many problems with this, but this is not a political blog, so…. Anyhoo, on some level it’s so ridiculous that it REQUIRED jokes. LJ tops them all for April Fool’s Day.

After debating plans to segregate ?gay-themed? books in state public libraries, the Oklahoma legislature has announced that it has commissioned a report on ?gay books? in the state. Among the report?s aims: to ascertain if ?books become gay on the shelf, or whether they are printed that way.? Also, the report will examine the phenomenon known now as ?Brokeback? books, books that may not know they are gay, or are gay only on certain shelves.
