Homestar Not for Adult Swim

I went to Homestarrunner.com like 30 times a week back in the day. I don’t go there anymore much simply because I don’t have time, but I do have the first set of figurines and a Strong Sad t-shirt, which garnered attention at the Weird Al concert a couple of years ago, and my Teen Girl Squad shirt, which gets attention at the library, where, it appears, younger people are watching Homestar.

It looks like the Brothers Chapman had been in talks with Cartoon Network to do a show for Adult Swim, but BC said no thanks.

This is probably OK actually. Before the internets was a big deal, it would have been crazy. But basically, having the internets is pretty much the same thing as a TV show now days, except better because you don’t have to worry about cancellation. I do agree with a poster in the comments of the article who says they should do bumps for adult swim. And I had no idea that Matt did Respek Knuckles and the Knowledge Hat on Sealab! I love those. “Memorize! The periodic table! Knowledge!”

I miss Sealab.

I remember checking every day on homestar to see if something new was out yet. I kinda miss having that much free time in a work day. Oh yeah, and the big fat paycheck.
